Homemade No bake Granola Bar






There's always talk these days about adding more fibre to our diet and how fibre is really good for us. These granola bars are full of fibre and will be loved by children due to chocolate content of these bars. There is not much chocolate in these bars. The chocolate is actually used as a binding agent.

1-2 cups granola (bought it from bulk barn...a lot cheaper than boxed granola)
2 tbsp butter
3-5 tbsp maple syrup/honey
2 tbsp chocolate chips

Put the ingredients together and microwave it for 1-2 minutes so the ingredients melt and mix together. Layer the granola mix on a parchment paper covered tray. Keep it in the freezer for 20 minutes and then cut the pieces. Eat fresh or store in a ziploc bag in the freezer. It doesn't freeze and can be eaten right off the freezer bag. It makes a great snack as well as breakfast item when your tummy is rumbling.
