Aab Gosh (Kashmiri Dish)


1 pound beef
3 tbsp oil
1 medium onion
1 piece ginger- sliced
3 cloves
1 inch cinnamon piece
1 bay leaf
2 green cardamom powdered
1 tbsp chopped garlic
1 tbsp fennel seeds
1/2 tsp dry ginger powder
1 tsp salt
1 moti elaichi crushed
1 cup milk
dried chillies for decoration

Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add sliced onion and ginger. Fry onion until they turn golden brown. Remove the onions and ginger from oil and grind as a paste.
Heat dry ingredients, add beef and garlic. Fry for 3-4 minutes.
Add one cup of water and pressure cook for 4-5 whistles.
When the pressure drops, open the cooker. Add milk. Give 1-2 boils.
Add onion paste. Mix well.
Simmer uncovered on low heat till beef turns absolutely tender and some gravy remains.
Sprinkle cardamom and dried chillies. Enjoy!
