Green Lentil Rice(Khichri- MultiPot Style)
Ingredients:
1 bowl green lentils (hari daal)
2/2.5 cups rice
1 onion sliced
¼ tbsp zeera(cumin seeds), ¼ tbsp cinnamon sticks, ¼ tbsp
laung (cloves)
laung (cloves)
1.5 tsp salt (according to your taste)
2 cup water
Oil optional
Method:
Add some oil to the pressure cooker, then add onion, lentils
and rice along with the salt, water and other ingredients. For my specific type
of pressure cooker, I cook it on high heat for 30 minutes. For instapots and
some advanced pots you might have to cook for 20-25 minutes. Once, the timer is
done, open the lid and mix the ingredients. Serve it on it’s own or with some
yogurt, chutney or pickles.
