Kung Pao Chicken
This recipe was also taken from my 3 in one cookbook but has been amended. The original recipe uses peanuts but since I didn't have them, I used almonds instead.
Ingredients:
1 tsp cornstarch
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1 pound chicken breast cut into bite size pieces
1/2 chicken halal cube
1 tsp sugar
3 tbsp oil
1 bunch almonds (or peanuts)
1 tsp minced fresh ginger
1/2 green onions
3 red chillies dried
For marinate, combine cornstarch, vinegar, soy sauce and salt and mix it with chicken.
Mix chicken cube with hot water and sugar and keep on the side.
Fry the almonds, chillies and ginger. Add chicken. Later add the chicken cube gravy and green onions. Add extra water, corn flour, vinegar and soy sauce if you want to create more gravy. Let it cook on med-low heat. Serve it over noodles.
