I had been thinking of those karachi style hydery market kachoris so copied this recipe from a cooking tv show...it doesn't taste like what i was looking for but they taste thousand times better than the desi store kachoris here in GTA. My whole family loved them.

For Filling:

Moong Daal 1 cup,
2/3 garlic pieces
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp crushed chillies,
1 tsp zeera
2 cup water

Boil the ingredients and daal with 2 cups water and make it dry.

Dough:

3 cup flour(atta), 1 cup all purpose flour (maida), 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt, a little bit ajwain, 1/2 tsp zeera, 1 tsp black pepper, a bit less than 1/2 cup oil, water for dough binding.

Mix all the ingredients together to make the dough.

Make small balls of dough...fill the daal mix in between and make circular shape. Once you make 4/5 circles fry them on medium heat.
