tawa chicken with bean rice


For Chicken:

1/2 pound chicken breast pieces sliced thinly
1/2 fresh lemon squeezed
salt to taste
crushed pepper a pinch
tandoori masala 1 tsp

Marinate the chicken with the above mentioned items. After 30 minutes of marination, put the chicken on small wooden skewers. Grill it on a tawa or frypan with a dash of olive oil to give it a crunchy touch.

For Rice:

1 cup rice
1/2 cup kidney bean
salt to taste
scallions 1/2 tsp
1 chicken pulao cube
1 tsp of scotch bonnet pepper (jamican pepper paste)
water 2 cups

You can boil the kidney beans from before or use the canned version. I don't use canned food so after soaking them for a while/overnight i boil them in a pressure cooker.

Fry the rice in some oil, add the kidney bean and then add rest of the ingredients and simmer it until its done.
